The #InMyFeelingsChallenge Conspiracy Theory

By now, you have seen tons of people doing the #InMyFeelingsChallenge.  Youths across America are jumping out of their moving vehicles and dancing to Drake’s new smash hit “In My Feelings”.

I have a conspiracy theory on this entire thing.  I don’t have a ton of facts to back this up but if you hear me out I think you will think something may be up as well.

I am convinced this entire #InMyFeelingsChallenge was set up by Aubrey Graham himself.

The song has seen extreme success and recently bumped “Nice For What” off the top spot of the Billboard Top 100. Celebrities such as Odell Beckham Jr., Ciara, Will Smith, and many more have even jumped on this hot trend.  It has over 240,000 posts when you search the hashtag on Instagram.  Drake also broke the all time single week streaming record with this smash hit.

Now that you understand just how big of a hit this song has become, let me jump into my theory.

There have been plenty of songs to go viral because of the dances that go along with them.  Soulja Boy wouldn’t be who he is without everyone crankin’ dat Soulja Boy 10 years ago. The Running Man Challenge was the craze a few years ago.  Everyone knows how to whip and nae nae.  Hell, the macarena may have started this all.  Thank you Los Del Rio.  The common denominator between all of the previous songs that went viral is all of those artists were pretty much unknown.  The challenge brought them to new heights for their 15 seconds of fame and that was a wrap.

Drake is the first superstar artist I can remember to have a song go extremely viral.  Interesting huh?  This is also extremely interesting timing for Drake.  He was recently body bagged by Pusha T and outed for having a child.  He has buried six feet under on the internet.  He never responded to the diss track although claiming he would address it on his new album Scorpion.  Everyone forgot about that whole thing now that they are trying to go viral with their own version of the #InMyFeelingsChallenge.

Shiggy also will not be in the music video for this song.  Kind of strange when he is the person who made this song famous.  That is because his work is done folks.

I am convinced Drake paid Shiggy to get this dance to go viral.  Shiggy was a social media star before this but I would say majority of folks did not know who he was.  Drake pays him a couple hundred thousand under the table, Shiggy gains tons of notoriety, Drake’s new song becomes a smash hit, and the general public forgets that Drake was actually murdered by Pusha T.

Drake cares about his public image more than anything, if you don’t think he would pull a stunt like this then you need to open your eyes.  Time to out Drake for the fraud that he is people, spread the word!
