Where will Dez Bryant end up?

Just a casual Friday afternoon where a former All-Pro, Pro Bowl receiver gets released. Nothing to see here folks…

Dez Bryant has been released from the Dallas Cowboys.  The 29 year old receiver now has a plethora of options on where to continue his career.  The Cowboys will save millions in cap space, while getting a complete headache off their hands.

The big question, where will this diva receiver end up?  I have a couple ideas, let’s take a gander shall we.

For the sake of this article, we are just going to assume all of these teams can afford Dez.  Fantastic journalism, I know.

Indianapolis Colts

Although I recently stated that Andrew Luck is done, I think this is one move that could propel him to health.  Yes, Dez Bryant coming back would fix Andrew Luck’s shoulder.  Don’t ask me how, it just would.  The Colts recently lost Donte Moncrief to free agency and TY Hilton has battled injuries in the past.  They are in need of another option for whoever plays quarterback for them going forward.

New England Patriots

Big name receivers are usually not a thing in New England.  They rarely work and Tom prefers to throw to caucasian fellas.  They just traded away Brandin Cooks, lost Danny Amendola to free agency, and currently head into the season with a mediocre receiving core.  Julian Edelman and Gronk are great options but both are coming off seasons riddled with injuries.  Dez Bryant would really need to shape up but maybe heading to New England is just what the doctor ordered for this head case.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have their franchise quarterback but they really haven’t helped him out much on the receiver front.  Currently Jimmy Garoppolo is looking to throw to Marquise Goodwin and Pierre Garcon.  That is quite pathetic for someone stepping into his first starting role.  He needs a legitimate weapon, enter Dez Bryant.  This makes too much sense, open up the wallet Mr. Lynch.

New York Jets

I am going to be completely honest, I put the Jets on here just because it would be amazing.  Dez Bryant dealing with the New York media would create for some fantastic headlines and content.  The Jets could also use a receiver seeing as though their #1 option right now is Robby Anderson.  Odds are they will draft a quarterback this year, why not give him a legitimate #1 receiver to start his career?  Do it Jets, please do it.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars decided to get rid of both Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson this season.  They are putting their trust in Dede Westbrook, Marqise Lee, and Donte Moncrief.  This isn’t the worst of receiver core but we all know it would look better with Dez involved.  He also would draw a lot of attention which would open up their ferocious running game.  Pair that offense with their amazing defense, book your trip to the Super Bowl Blake Bortles.
